From Full to Waning Quarter, this lunar week represents the Moon’s autumn. And Saturn is pressuring us to put effort into this harvest. The Full Moon includes both the Sun and Moon at 7 degrees beginning to form squares to Saturn at 12 degrees of Aquarius – a fixed sign stand off.
How do we sustain?
The Full Moon in Scorpio, thematic of the week, features a blessing of social grace from Mercury conjunct Venus. Then throughout the week these two planets begin getting some space from one another, but they’ve been dancing close for over a week now, and they’ll remain within ten degrees of each other until early June, when Venus can get some breathing room while Mercury goes retrograde in Gemini (beginning 29 May).
The air of charm & wit is alive in your Taurus house (or possibly Taurus planets), so how can you play this weather to your advantage? Essentially, it’s an auspicious time to check in on your Taurus sector, especially with the challenge of “Is this really working for the whole of you?” energy tapping your shoulder from within and without.
The team-Venus versus team-Saturn taste is still in air from last week…
Exact times provided for events like the new, full, and quarter moons. But when it comes to time brackets for void-of-course moons and moon mansions, times are rounded. I’m looking out for my neurotic friends who get lost in the derailing details – and I’m rounding this shit.

The assertive nature of Mars supports the Moon, the emotions, the intuition via trine this Monday (26 April). Keep your attention open for the the Moon’s opposition to Mars on Friday (30 April), the weather will favor complaining over coming-clean emotionally. So like, bring your whining-resistant umbrella.
She ends this week seeking to resolve the tension with Saturn – a quiet, inner clue to navigating the Sun’s solid square to Saturn. How do you reconcile hardness & softness within you? Maybe your Aquarius house (or planets) have some guidance for you in this arena this week.
Mercury transitions into Gemini on the evening of 3 May. But this takes place many hours after the Waning Quarter Moon, so I shall regale you of my ruling planet in its domicile next week. No personal bias on this topic AT ALL.
Besides that, we’ve still got the back planets hanging out in Aquarius seeking wisdom in weird ways; a gaggle of personal planets trekking the glorious floral fields of Taurus; and Mars trudging along through Cancer.
I’ve already touched on the Moon moving from almost square to perfectly conjunct with Saturn this lunar week. But this also marks the Sun moving from almost to perfectly square with Saturn. The square aspect itself is said to be ruled by Saturn, as in it carries the signature of Saturn – friction. This is an archetype of foundation shaking. When the Forged in Fire judges are testing blades with barrel stabs & log chops, that Saturnian testing. If it breaks? Well you learned something.
I’d a say a key hack here is get on the same frequency as rebellious ‘Aquarian Saturn’ (as opposed to stodgy ‘Capricornian Saturn’), more group- than individual-oriented.
This week also features Mercury moving through a square to Jupiter (while Venus sets up to make the same pass next week). On the most generic level, we’re looking at a friction-filled interaction between mental energy and expansion energy. If succumbed to: possibility of communication drama. If attended to: possibility of idea/mental level-up.
No planets stations direct or retrograde this week.
Yeah, yeah. I know Pluto stationed retrograde this week. What did I tell you about getting deeply acquainted with the classical planets? Jeez. You can reach as high you want, but without a solid foundation your fkd buddy, and I care about you.
How’s it going feeling out the Saturn-in-Aquarius contending with Venus-in-Taurus vibes both alive inside of you simultaneously? The theme continues. If you’re looking for a core value true to both planets at home in their thrones of power… (nods at the shiny virtue of Justice)
Sure, they have their own personalized approaches – Venus with unconditional love & the softest compassion, Saturn with conditional love & the strictest boundaries – but they both seek JUSTICE and TRUTH.
So if you’re looking for inspiration on a living meditation this week, I leave you with this token. How are you knowing, being, and inspiring truth & justice in yourself and in your life?
This has been the 3rd installment of AstroWeekly. My desire is for this series to be the astrology resource I’ve long been hoping to find and to share it with all of you. So what sort of information would you find supportive or inspiring in this lunar-weekly newsletter of sorts?
